In 2003, the Audi A4 was released in Avant wagon, sedan, and Cabriolet convertible body styles.

The 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet 3.0 Quattro used a V6 engine, while the 1.8T Quattro used a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Both the convertibles and sedans were designed to support front-wheel drive. Conventional on Avant wagons and optional on sedans was the all-wheel-drive system of Audi.

Looking at 2003 Audi A4 specs, the Cabriolet 3.0 Quattro was provided with choice of 4-speed manual transmission or standard five-speed automatic transmission. The continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) was conventional on both 3.0 Quattro sedan with front-wheel drive and convertibles.

The continuously variable automatic transmission provided various drive ratios as well as six gears from the steering wheel buttons and a shift gate. The 2003 Audi A4 Cabriolet 3.0 Quattro had a power folding top as well as with heated glass back window. All Audi A4 cars were provided with antiskid system, 4-wheel disc brakes, and all type of bags. Wagons and sedans were designed with curtain side airbags for head protection and back torso side airbags.

On all V6 models, the navigation system was optional and so was the OnStar assistance. They were furnished with 17-inch alloy wheels, and an optional sport suspension.
