Audi 2004 A4 Lineup

The Audi 2004 A4 convertible was a sensational launch. The 2004 Audi A4 was made available in Avant Wagon, Cabriolet, Convertible and sedan body styles. The 1.8T versions made use of a 4-cyl turbo engine, while the 3.0 versions had a V6. Cabriolets and Sedans were rolled out with a front wheel drive. Standard on all Avants, newly available for 3.0 Cabriolets and optional for sedans was the Audi’s Quattro all wheel drive system. The Quattro models are equipped with a conventional 5-speed automatic transmission and offered with an optional 6 speed manual transmission.

Standard on front wheel drive 3.0 sedans and convertibles is a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). CVT will provide variable drive ratios plus the six preset gears, which are selected from floor shift or steering wheel buttons. Cabriolets will have a top, which can be power folded with heated glass rear window.

The Audi 2004 A4 convertible models were resourcefully equipped with antiskid system, front side airbags and ABS, while Avants and Sedans were equipped with a head protecting curtain side airbags and also optional rear torso side airbags. Cabriolets had front side airbags, which provides torso and head protection, and also rear support bars, which popped up automatically in order to protect the occupants in case of a rollover.
