Audi A4 2.8 Performance

The Audi A4 2.8 replaced the earlier version 2.7 last year. The Audi A4 2.8 performance has been pretty satisfactory, due to presence of a larger 2.8 liter engine in the current generation, as well as more powerful suspension, supportive front bucket seats, and much more.

Audi A4 2.8 Performance Improvements Over 2.7L

The 2.8L engine delivered enhanced power, as it churned out 190 horsepower rather than 172 hp (in case of 2.7L) and produced torque of 190 lb-ft rather than 184 lb-ft delivered by its predecessor.

Insufficient low-end pull was the major drawback in the Audi A4 2.7L and earlier generation models, which was minimized in this version. The Audi A4 2.8 Performance was improvised due to presence of a standard 5-speed manual transmission, giving it additional flavor over the traditional 6-speed automatic transmission. Even as a sports car, the Audi A4 2.8 Performance was quite pleasant, though not as great as BMW 3-series cars.

Improved Interiors

What’s more, the interior region was loaded with goodies like supportive front bucket seats and offered plenty of side bolstering. The additional features included in the Audi A4 2.8 version were leather upholstery that was durable and firm. The rear seating arrangement had 60/40 fold and split seats, and very much enhanced cargo carrying capacity.
